There was a bomb blast at a mosque near the popular Monday Market in Maiduguri.
According to a youth vigilante source, Abba Modu, the incident occurred during the Muslim early evening prayer (3:40pm) at one of the mosques located near the Monday market.

He said the suicide bomber mingled with worshippers pretending to have come to pray.

He detonated the bomb while in the mosque which resulted in ten deaths caused injuries to several others.

He said the Red Cross and members of the youth vigilante group were evacuating the corpses to the morgue and taking the injured to the hospital, when he was speaking at our correspondent at 4:30 pm on Saturday.
