The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the deadline for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to March 22.
INEC originally slated Sunday, March 8, to be the last day for collection but has now extended the period to allow more people get their PVCs.
The extension was announced via a statement
released by Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega.
“This latest extension offers the last opportunity for duly registered voters to collect their PVCs before the general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11,’’ the statement said.
This marks the fourth extension of the PVC collection deadline after INEC shifted forward the date from January 31 to February 8 and then to March 8.
