Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of Media and Publicity of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, has dismissed allegations made by the APC stating that the ruling party plans to rig elections in Adamawa State.

In his response to the allegations, Fani-Kayode called the allegation a "manifestation of delusions of the APC" and confirmed that his party is committed to free and fair elections, Vanguard reports.

He also accused the APC's push for the use of card readers as a plot to rig the elections and disenfranchise millions of Nigerians.

Former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to his supporters to maintain peace during and after the general elections, according to Peoples Daily.

"Even before the first pact we have asked our supporters not to take weapons and attack anyone, we have made a commitment that our supporters do not become violent before and after the election," he said.
