Another bomb blast in the commercial town of Potiskum, Yobe state, has killed five persons and injured 36 others, an hospital source has said.
Speaking on phone to our correspondent from Potiskum, a member of staff of the General Hospital in the town who does not want his name mentioned, said of the 41 persons brought to the hospital, five have died and 36 others are injured.
He said the death toll may rise as some of the injured are struggling to stay alive, "some of them are brutally injured," he added.

He also revealed that nine persons have been referred to the Federal Medical Centres in Azare, Bauchi state and Nguru in Yobe state.
It was gathered that the suicide bomb attack carried out by a bomber who disguised as a passenger at the Bulala motor park in troubled Potiskum, Yobe state north-east Nigeria.
Investigations revealed that the suicide bomber and four others were the casualties in the blast.
A motor park source, Adamu Yusuf, said a suicide bomber sneaked into Bulala Motor Park located adjacent o Fika Junction along Bauchi-Jos road disguising as a passenger and detonated the explosive devices killing four on the spot.
“The explosion went off around 9:50am on Sunday at the Bulala motor park close to Ibal filling station along Jos road. As I speak, we counted 5 death bodies but so many others are lying critical and are being conveyed to the nearby hospital in Potiskum for immediate medical attention," Yusuf said.
Sunday’s blast is the third within the space of three weeks in Potiskum the largest commercial city of Yobe state, north-east Nigeria.
