General Muhammadu Buhari
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, has reaffirmed that his academic records are with  the Army Secretary.
“All my records are in the custody of the Army Secretary. That is why I am surprised to hear that they don’t have my records. I also attended Cambridge University and my number is 8200002. I graduated with the second grade,” he said.

Buhari, who was accompanied to the press briefing by his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, said that he attended Katsina Provincial Secondary School, now Government College Katsina, and graduated in 1961 along with the late General Shehu Musa ‘Yar Adua and the former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Umar Abdullahi.
He therefore debunked the impression given by the Nigerian Army that his academic certificates were not in the record of the military.
In a three minutes statement he read to reporters at Kano Government House, Wednesday, Buhari said the development was not worthy of any reply, but he decided to make the statement just to clear the air over the matter.
“Instead of them (PDP) to concentrate on the problems facing the nation, such as scandalous level of unemployment, the devastating insecurity plaguing the nation and other pressing issues, they resorted to this…".
According to him, he just decided to make the statement because of the concern expressed by his supporters and other well meaning Nigerians.
“Otherwise, I will just leave it to be what it is, that is mere mischief,” he explained.
