The Nigerian authorities ordered the suspension of the head of Niger State Prisons following the recent jailbreak in Minna.
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro approved the decision today, December 9.
Not only did Controller Niger State Prisons, Musa Maiyaki, was suspended, but also Officer-in-Charge, Medium Security Prisons, Minna, Mohammed Bena, and all the officers who were on duty that day.
It would be recalled that a result of the incident 210 inmates were released.
