Another case of housemaid brutality has been reported as a young lady has taken her anger out on an innocent child, straggling her to death.

This is a warning to parents who employ housemaids to take care of their young ones, to sit back and take another look at the person they entrust their children to.
Reports emanating from some media outfits in the Federal Capital Territory, have it that a disgruntled housemaid in the city has strangled a 3-year-old girl to death because her mistress refused to allow her travel to her village to celebrate the upcoming Christmas.

The reports further add that the maid who is from the southern parts of the country, had told her madam that her people wanted her home for a very important festival but the mother of the child she was taking care of told her point blank that she would go no where as she would be too busy during the yuletide period and wants the maid to be around to take care of the kid.
Out of anger and frustration, the devilish maid took her anger out on the girl and when her mother went to work, she strangled the toddler to death and escaped from the house.
These stories are becoming alarming. Few weeks ago, the whole world watched in horror as a Ugandan nanny almost battered a 2-year-old girl to death because her parents slapped her.
Next to come was a maid in Magodo GRA of Lagos who disappeared with two children entrusted to her care just a week after starting to work with the family. Luckily, the kids have been found.
Then few days ago, the Lagos police arrested two robbers who confessed that a housemaid invited them to rob her employer.
It is time parents sit up and do a rethink about employing a house helper.
